Studio X strives for a professional demeanor from all students, which means following a specific dress code. The dress code decided by the Studio X staff is for the benefit of the student and teacher so the body can be seen adequately for corrections and feedback for the student. In order to participate, all students must have the following clothing and hair requirements. Not adhering to dress code will result in non-participation. Fast and convenient online dancewear suppliers are:
Hair: Must be securely pulled back. If you have to fix your hair during class you will be asked to leave and return when your hair is secure. If your hair falls out a second time you will be asked to leave class for that day. Every time a teacher is waiting to press play because a student is fixing their hair, every time a student misses a correction because they are focused on putting their hair back up, every time a student doesn’t stay focused during an exercise because their hair fell out, is a waste of time during class.
Ballet: Solid color leotards only (no accent colors). Pink canvas ballet shoes. Pink tights and ballet skirts are accepted. No leggings, no shorts, no shirts.
